    FAQS :

Could those of you who have owned this for a while comment on if it collects muck like prior models? Thank you beforehand.

Answer: The resonance chamber on each of these lines appears to "leak" and accumulate grime. Just eliminate it. No bigge!

Does this possess a thirty-second timer? My old one reminds me to switch quadrants every 30 seconds by emitting a sound.

Answer: Yes it does. It emits a sound that is distinct from that of the Toothbrush, but it is not an alarm with a tone. It is more likely that the vibrations alter momentarily to signify that thirty seconds have passed.

Did Sonicare alter the stem of the head? This one has a wavy stem, not a straight one like the one I just replaced.

Any snap-on head is compatible with this toothbrush.

Will this toothbrush be able to replace the Sonicare W?

This Philips Sonicare 2100 Power Toothbrush is compatible with Philips Sonicare W Replacement Brush Heads.

Does it get moldy where the head of the brush meets the handle? My very old one does.

Answer: I've had mine for 4 years and there's no mold on it, but every time I rinse the bristles, I also rinse the space between the head and the body. My husband bought the same one I did in the same order. His gets smelly because he probably doesn't rinse it as well as I do.

Does this charger work with a 220V voltage range?

Yes, you should be able to charge this toothbrush while traveling as long as the voltage of the outlet you plug it into doesn't go above 220V. The voltage for this Sonicare is between 100V and 220V.

Why doesn't the new model 4100 come with a standard plug? Why in the name of all that is holy did they go cheap and put a USB plug in there?

Answer: A review in WireCutter from September 2022 says that you can contact SonicCare and get a free plug adapter. I just bought the 4100 off of Amazon. I don't have the serial number yet because the product doesn't come until tomorrow, but SonicCare customer service just told me that they would send the free plug adapter once I gave them the model number and serial number. They made sure there isn't a charge. Once I give them the serial number, it will take 7–10 days for them to send me the plug adapter. I'll do all of that tomorrow when the product comes.
