    FAQS :

What is the volume of the Bosch 4100?

Answer: I have it in my two-car garage... I can turn it on, close the garage door (it's a standard cheap thin inside door), walk to the opposite end of the house, and close that door...and it barely makes a sound (i could probably sleep with that level).

To make dado cuts, do I need to remove the riving knife? If so, how is it removed?

Answer: Thank you for contacting us. The riving knife of the 4100-09 table saw cannot be removed. The riving knife may be slid all the way down the table top for dado cutting.

Which Incra Miter Guage would I acquire for this saw if I needed one? Do they all go together? I'm new to miter gauges.

The miter slot on the saw is standard. The T slot was not cut in the bottom of the miter slot on the Bosch 4000. The 4100, however, does.

What kind of saw would this be for a beginner woodworker on a tight budget?

It's a fantastic saw, to be sure. It has some excellent safety features. If you're on a tight budget, I'd recommend waiting a few days before purchasing this saw. It's hefty, and it'll set you back a little more than $600 out the door, but it's well worth it.

Is a dado blade set compatible with this saw?

Yes, you'll need the DeWalt Part Number DWE7402D1 for the Dado Throat Plate. Stacking dado blades thicker than 13/16 inch is not recommended by DeWalt " (20 mm).

What are the closed dimensions of the unit on the stand? WxHxD? I'd want to know if it will fit in the garage storage cubby.

Answer: Laying flat: 27 1/2" broad, 46" long (you may save 3" by utilizing the shorter handle length slots), 25" height with rail (21 1/2") "without it). It works whether you stand it up or lay it down.
