    FAQS :

Is there a wps button on this modem for configuring tp-link wifi extenders?

No, there is no WPS button on this device. Please keep in mind that this device is only a cable modem and does not include WiFi.

How frequently is the software updated to keep up with Spectrum?

Answer: I have Autism Spectrum Disorder. When I first called to add it to the account and hook it up, they did the initial firmware push to my router. So far, it appears that they will not need to push firmware updates to this every other day, causing it to shut down like their refurbished equipment. So far, there hasn't been a single drop in quality or connectivity in three months. Spectrum-issued equipment was frequently disconnecting and rebooting (all 12 boxes I got from them before I got fed up and did my own equipment). I'm not sure how reliable Spectrum is in your area because this is central Florida.

Is this compatible with the Xfinity Triple Play service?

Answer: Despite being advertised, the product is not compatible with Xfinity, according to Comcast's website. Do not purchase because, despite false advertising, Arris will not compensate you. Before purchasing, check the Xfinity website for compatible devices.

    Is it wifi 6 compatible?

Answer: Although this modem does not include Wi-Fi, the Ethernet output can be connected to a Wifi 6 router.

Does it function with Verizon Fios?

Answer: No, this is a cable modem that will only work if you have a cable internet service provider subscription. It is NOT compatible with Verizon Fios.

Can a phone-to-Ethernet splitter be used for voice?

I use two Magic Jack VOIP adapters (phone and fax lines) and Magic Jack for my phone service. It was significantly cheaper than utilising Comcast's VOIP service.

This model has a phone jack, yes.

Answer: Yes. The CM1150V allows for two phone lines. It is included in the title, images, and specifications. Voice Capability NETGEAR Nighthawk Cable Modem Supports Cable Plans Up to 2 Gbps | 2 Phone Lines | 4 x 1G Ethernet Ports | DOCSIS 3.1

    Compatible with the Mediacom/Xtream protocol?

I purchased the Netgear Nighthawk CM1150, which I regret. Additionally, it is incompatible with the two ISPs you listed. Extremely difficult for Comcast/Xfinity.

    Does this work with Mediacom?

Answer: It is compatible with Mediacom's internet service, but not their phone service.

Is there a port on the ooma telo to connect an Ethernet cable?

Answer: My review was of the Xfinity voice-capable Netgear Nighthawk C7100V Xfinity cable modem router gateway. In addition to Wi-Fi, it offers four Ethernet connections as a router. Your inquiry appears to concern the Netgear CM1000 cable modem. This is a modem with a single Ethernet LAN port. You would connect Ooma to one of the four Ethernet ports of a separate Wi-Fi router that typically has four Ethernet ports. I'm assuming you're replacing an older, slower modem router, which you could use; but, you would need to consult the documentation for that router to see how to configure it for this setup. You would likely lose some of the advantages of your new gigabit cable modem if you used an older router.
