    When I go home and open the door, does it automatically lock while I'm inside? Will it unlock by accident every time I get close to the back door?

    Answer: When you are many hundred yards away from your house, the phone app attempts to unlock the door automatically just once.

The simplest option I've discovered is to simply walk far enough away from wifi that 5 GHz fades and the app (phone) switches to 2.4 GHz automatically. It generally takes around 20–30 yards to get out of 5 GHz range, at which point the phone will only see 2.4 GHz and setup will go normally.

    Is it possible to have a key on both sides so that a thief cannot just shatter the glass and reach around to unlock the door?

    If someone destroys a window to access the lock, the lock will tell you that it has been manually opened. When one of these locks is opened, whether manually from the inside or outside, via the August App, or via HomeKit, my watch vibrates, and my phone receives an alert. I'm currently utilizing my Apple Watch to track my sleep, so I wear it when I sleep. I'll be notified if someone unlocks a lock.
