    Why am I misusing this? My sprayer is broken. Just now, I gave my little green a try. I first tried holding the trigger while pumping it.

    Sorry to share this, but after having my first machine for a year and it working fine until it would no longer spray, I just went out and bought another one. However, after having this new one for just about a year, the same issue is occurring with this one. I've given up and use a spray bottle to apply solution and the machine to pick up the residue. I'll have to buy another one.

    Has the suction head ever been disassembled so that the side-stuck fuzz can be cleaned?

    I use a zip tie, the kind used for bundling wires, which is quite lengthy and flexible, as long as the fuzz within the suction head is still wet. I have a spot-bot and a Bissell upright (and am ready to get this small green one).

Labels beginning with "W" or "WS" denote the usage of water for cleaning. I'd strongly advise spot testing in a concealed area if you want to give it a shot.

    If you put carbonated or soda water in the tank, will it still function?

    Since this carpet cleaner is picky about the type of solution it uses, I don't think it would work. This spot and stain machine is incompatible with upright machine solutions.
