FAQS :
What are the interior dimensions (diameter and height) of the burn chamber volume in the 15" version?
4 3/4 in depth, 11 in diameter
Where is this manufactured?
The answer is that it is made in China.
Will the heat damage my lawn?
Yes, you must place it on a flagstone or concrete board. And still move it around to avoid killing the grass.
Is this tough to put together? I'm a little concerned because it comes in two pieces, and expert assembly is available for $140.
Answer: It is quite simple to put together. Simply place one piece on top of the other. However, I do not believe it is worth $140. When I got it a year ago, it was $99, and I thought long and hard before spending that much money. It does, however, do what it says most of the time. I'm talking about the whole smokeless issue. My mother is allergic to tobacco. She was able to remain near the fire, but she had to go inside whenever I added more wood pellets. After adding pellets, it becomes smoky for a minute or two. I also didn't leave smelling like a campfire. If you think it's worth $140, go ahead and buy it. If not, you can always add it to your shopping basket and wait for the price to drop.
What distinguishes this fire pit from a pellet fire pit?
Answer: While we prefer pellets for this fire pit due to its portability, it can also burn wood if cut to the suitable sizes for the burn chamber.
We are experiencing significant smoke after adding more pellets. We only put in a few at a time. Why is there so much smoke following the original fire?
Answer: A large volume of smoke is usually caused by the fire not receiving enough oxygen and being smothered. When you first start your fire, add 2 inches of pellets or small wood. Use kindling or an accelerant to start the fire. To add extra pellets, scatter them about with a fistful. Dumping them all in one place may suffocate the fire and generate smoke. Adding an accelerant can also help ignite the newly added pellets.
Is it safe to burn firewood in it?
Wood can be burned in this fire pit as long as it is trimmed to a size that fits comfortably inside.
Is this an ant fire pit? And why is the price $75 higher than it should be?
No, this is not a fire pit for ants. Mesa's mission is to bring people together. This product, in my opinion, is a mashup of two of our legendary products: the Bonfire and the Titan. It gives you the best of both worlds. It's an excellent smokeless fire pit for tiny spaces or when you're short on time. It's ideal for a s'mores roast after dinner, a tabletop centerpiece, or immediately creating a peaceful environment. This device is essentially a more adaptable and approachable variant of larger fire pits that can be used in smaller locations. Our only observation is that Mesa is not a candle. It will be extremely hot outside, and it should not be left alone.
Forgive me, but for its size, why wouldn't I put a sterno in a tin or porcelain cup?
Answer: For its size, this solitary stove is cool and exciting, although it is not that small. I imagine it to be the size of a small coffee can.
Is there a lid to suffocate the fire if necessary?
Answer: It does not come with one, but the cover, along with marshmallow forks, a pellet scoop, and fork rests, is included in the accessory box.
Do you know if this is permitted if the area has a campfire ban?
The answer is that it depends on where you live. Even during a fire ban, a fire is permitted in my region as long as it is used for cooking.
Can any type of wood be used?
Answer: Any wood can be used in the fire pit as long as it does not obstruct the burn holes at the top. We also do not advise the use of any accelerants.
How should you clean the outside of your stainless steel Solo Mesa stove?
Answer: You would clean it just like any other stainless steel surface. Using Barkeeper's Friend and a gentle sponge or towel
Can this be used as a valid heat source for a back porch table, or is it purely decorative?
The answer is that it is quite little. I'd say I use this one more for decoration than for heat. When I'm feeling lazy, I use this instead of a large fire pit because it's more convenient. This hassle-free fire pit appeals to me.
Can I use the pellets I normally use for my pellet grill?
Answer: You can, but it would be a waste of money. Food-grade pellets are significantly more expensive than pellets used in pellet burners or for heating. A 40-pound bag of fuel pellets costs approximately $7.00. Food-quality pellets, on the other hand, cost $20 for a 20-pound bag.
