    Yes, however, it requires a library such as LibUSB or WinUSB, as well as maybe a "filter" driver. Look for the raster command reference pdf on the Brother Downloads site for the data types to submit.

    Is there any laminated clean room paper that we can use with this label printer?

    Answer: I thought I'd weigh in because I have a comparable application. They don't sell laminated labels, but they do sell non-paper labels. It's known as film tape. In my situation, I use DK-2212 (black on white, 50' length) or DK-2606 (black on yellow, 50' length) continuous length labels. Keep in mind that these are more expensive than paper labels, but given the clean room application, I'm betting that spending 6X or more per label isn't such a huge deal when the alternative is a particle-shedding label. I can't guarantee that these film tape labels won't shed particles, but the rolls I bought felt like plastic with adhesive, so I'm betting they'll shed less than paper labels. If you need various labels (not the 2.4" wide rolls), just search Amazon for "brother film tape" and you should get a lot of options. They sell non-paper labels; search Amazon for "brother film tape" to see what options are available for your clean room use.

    Is it possible to print barcodes with this printer?

    Answer: The DK 1202 labels (2.4 in x 3.9 in) are used for shipping labels on the QL800.

    I recently got this, but I'm disappointed because it only prints in black and red. Is it possible to print words in black alone?

    Answer: The DK-2251 label included with the Brother QL-800 label printer allows you to print both red and black, but you may also print simply black with this label roll. For additional details, please contact Brother Customer Service.

    Why does it require two lithium batteries? Does it work with a battery or an alternating current power supply?

    Answer: This machine only works with an AC power cord. This model does not support the use of batteries.
