    FAQS :

    Is this set machine-washable?

Answer: I am a retired chef who is more concerned with function than with appearance. When you put anodized aluminum exteriors in the dishwasher, they get "chalky." This has no bearing on their functionality. I have an older set of anodized multiclad pots and pans that I wash in the dishwasher on a frequent basis. It's still cooking well!

Is it possible to use this set on an induction cooktop?

The pot was not recognized by my induction stove. I also put the magnet test to the test, but it didn't cling to the bottom of the pots or pans. An induction stove will not function with anything that isn't magnetic.

What makes the radiance hard anodized nonstick cookware different from the elementum hard anodized nonstick pan?

Answer: The Circulon® cookware lines are comparable in that they all feature our proprietary TOTAL® Nonstick System, are oven-safe, and come with our Hassle-Free Lifetime Guarantee. The color selections and design are slightly different between the Elemetum and Radiance lines.

Have you considered the Cooks Standard and Tramontina multi-ply sets? If so, why did you go with Cuisinart? I'm having difficulty deciding?

Answer: I examined both. Tramontina was praised by both Consumer Reports and the New York Times. Tramontina is, however, many hundred times more expensive than Cuisinart.

Why are my yes-sticks black and sticky after the first use?

Answer: The blackness is burned glazing from whatever you're cooking. I've been boiling them with dish washer to see if I can remove the stains with no results. To avoid or reduce the risk, heat the pan slowly over low heat with a little oil. Bar Keepers Friend is excellent for cleaning.

Is it okay if I stack the pots?

Because of their lids, they are extremely difficult to stack. The lids fit snugly on each pan, however when you turn it upside down to get the handle out of the way for a good flat surface to stack on, the lid falls off, resulting in a tumble. Description: Circulon vs Cuisinart Cookware
