    FAQS :

which will be more efficient compact dcs367 or full size dcs380

Answer: If you have both, the 380 runs longer but gives less amperage. I prefer the compact and learned years ago to manage my batteries, always keeping one charged. They charge quickly and, if properly maintained, last longer than competitors.

Can a 60-volt battery be used?

Yes, it is. The 60v batteries are "flexvolt" batteries. If you put a 60v battery in this recip saw, it will automatically convert to a 20v at 9 amp hours. Using that battery in a 60v tool will give you 2 amp hours (it will last a third as long in a 60v tool as it does in a 20v tool).

Is this going to work for everyone?

Answer: It's quite simple to use if you know what you're doing. Very flexible – a welcome addition to my Dewalt arsenal!

Is this tool compatible with powerstack batteries?

Yes, the Powerstack batteries are DCS367B compatible. The higher the amp hour, the more overall runtime you will acquire.

This saw is fantastic! Is it possible to blunt a Bosch pruning blade by slicing a shrub trunk out of the ground?

Cutting into dirt will wear down any blade. The pruning blades are sturdy, and the saw can handle it. I'd have a spare blade on hand and go for it.

I'm torn between this (compact) saw and a conventional 20v reciprocating saw. How much difference would 100 fewer spm make in performance? Advice is much welcomed!

Answer: I use this saw in situations where I never thought a recip saw would be useful. I don't notice any difference where this saw goes and works. I would give up even more spms to have a saw like this. I've tried others like this and they've all jammed.

How much does a battery cost?

With this saw, you can use either DCB200 (3.0 Ah) or DCB204 (4.0 Ah) batteries. Currently, a 2-pack of batteries costs between $99 and $119. If you don't already have the saw, a package that includes the battery and charger may be the best alternative.

    Is the warranty documentation included?

Yes, the warranty information was included with my purchase. This is a brand-new tool that comes with a warranty. There is no battery or polycarbonate enclosure.

Is there a set of saw blades included with this saw?

Answer: I bought this saw, and it did not come with any blades. It is my go-to saw when I need to replace a muffler or a wall at home when I remodeled my wife's basement. All in all, an excellent investment.

What blade sizes are compatible with this tool?

There are many blade lengths available. Use the suitable blade for the job. The blade should be longer than 3-1/2" (89 mm) and extend past the shoe and workpiece thickness during the cut.
