    FAQS :

What makes this thermostat different from the white wifi version?

Answer: The Sensi Touch Wi-Fi (ST75) includes a colour touch screen, all apps require a c-wire, and it's compatible with Apple HomeKit as well as other home automation systems like Amazon Alexa. Color touch screens are not available on the Sensi Wi-Fi Thermostat models UP500W and 1F86U-42WF, and a c-wire is not required for most HVAC applications. These versions are compatible with various smart home platforms, including Amazon Alexa, but not with HomeKit. Models ST55 and 1F87U-42WF of the Sensi Wi-Fi Thermostat are comparable to prior variants (UP500W/1F86u-42WF), with the exception that these models are HomeKit compatible.

Is it possible to get a temperature chart for the last 12 hours on this device?

Answer: While usage data is not presently available, we will certainly forward your request along to our product team for consideration in future product upgrades.

Is it possible to use this product to control whole-house humidifiers?

Answer: A humidifier will be controlled by this thermostat. Because I'm a hvac contractor, I can promise you that it does because I've experienced it in my own home...

"Usage report," according to the Amazon listing. What is the location of this? Nothing in the handbook or settings indicates that you have access to a report.

Answer: The report is available through the Sensi app on your phone. The display shows the current temperature, settings, and mode when you first launch the app. A line below that begins "Sensi," with a right-facing arrow on the right side of the screen. By pressing this arrow, you'll be sent to the detailed Sensi screen, which includes a button at the bottom that displays previous heating and cooling consumption.

Have any of you taken use of Amazon's installation service? What's the deal with that? Is there a voucher in the mail? or do you use Amazon to make your arrangements?

Answer: Save money by opting out of the installation offer. Nest's installation process is practically foolproof. Check that your thermostat meets their requirements by reading their requirements. All you have to do is remove your old thermostat, and if you don't see a twisted pair or anything on the old thermostat that says 110/220 V, you can use Nest. While installing Nest, they provide a YouTube link that you can follow. I completed mine in approximately 30 minutes from start to finish, despite the fact that I am not an electrician.

What does the 3rd generation offer that the 2nd generation does not?

Answer: The 3rd Generation Nest offers a lot more features than simply the screen size; it uses 2.4GHz and 5GHz for faster wifi connectivity, as well as a feature called FARSIGHT, which allows you to see the screen as soon as you walk into your house to check the temperature. It also contains a lovely analogue and/or digital clock that you may use. Please visit www.nest.com or click on this link for more information on The NEST!!

Will I need to buy two of these to accommodate both floors? I have a thermostat upstairs and below that work separately.

Answer: I have a 2nd Gen Nest on the second floor and a non-Nest on the first floor. For the past year, I've been using this configuration. Because one of my eight smoke alarms recently died, I'm purchasing a Nest 3rd generation + $50 Amazon Gift Card and a Nest Protect. I'm adding a Nest Protect instead of replacing one smoke alarm with old technology. Being on the road 10-14 days a month, Nest simply makes things easier for me. When my guests use my house as a holiday home, they no longer leave the thermostat set at 64 degrees in the midst of July. That's what got me interested in Nest in the first place. I'd like to be able to set a lock code on the Nest so that I don't get the $600 electric bill. When my dumb friends/guests don't safeguard my generosity, Nest does.
