How do you paint orange peel with this?
I used it to paint very rough stucco and it worked very well -- I would recommend you get a much smaller nozzle. It comes with a 515 tip which I found put out way too much paint. I bought several sized tips and found the 311 put out a fine enough spray that I was able to spray from a couple of angles and directions without putting on so much paint that it would run. The result was very good coverage, even into the nooks and crannies of the hand textured stucco.
As a sprayer, I was very pleased with the ease-of-use and features of the unit. It was even easier to clean up than I expected. No regrets with this purchase.

Does this sprayer work with solvent primers
No. This sprayer is compatible with non-flammable coatings that can be cleaned with water or 100% mineral spirits.
How often should you change the pump?
Unfortunately there is no preventative MX on these pumps. Only change the pump when the pump stops working. Or when you discover that it is loosing strength/ power. Now always refer to you manual in the back it has a trouble shooting tree!! Follow it WHEN! Something goes wrong. Don’t just change a pump every 12 months. Could be a clogged tip! Could be the pressure is to low on and on I could go. If you run cheap paint with low quality sourced materials it will wear the parts out faster. Compared to let’s say 90$ per gallon paint. Again WHEN something goes wrong. Open up your manual go to the back and read the trouble shooting questions. If it says change pump then change it. However a pump with proper cleaning! Meaning you clean all of it after every job within 1 hour of work stopping or 2 days max if continuing the next day. Amd you use pump armor it could last for years and years or it could last for 2 weeks🤷♂️ Sometimes metals have micro cracks and NDI inspection could find it lol.
I need a spray tip of .25 to .27 for the X7. Does Graco sell one?
Graco has one that is similar. I have been using a titan spray tip that is .27 in my graco spray gun. The titan tip and gasket fit the graco sprayer also.
Can we use for automobile industry
We do not recommend airless sprayers for automotive finishes. We would recommend HVLP due to its higher transfer efficiency. Thanks
