    FAQS :

Does the probe hole in this crockpot truly not create any issues during cooking? I used to believe that any leaks or holes were bad.

Look at other slow cookers; not many of them have a tight-fitting cover. When cooking on high, it's generally just a thin glass cover that rattles a little. I have an older, non-programmable HB Stay or Go model with a hole.

Is the internal pan removable for easier cleaning or serving?

Answer: If you're referring to the "ceramic crock" that you set your meal in, the answer is yes. It is also microwave and oven safe. This slow cooker appears to be extremely nice; however, I would prefer one with a delayed start. When I read this, I get contradictory responses. Answer: I've had this manufacturer's 10 qt, 8 qt, and 6 qt slow cookers for years. I've never needed a "delayed start." First and foremost, you do not want anything you want to consume to sit in a pot without any kind of heat. You are exposing yourself and everyone who consumes your food to salmonella poisoning, which is fatal. When I know I'll be too busy in the morning to put everything in the cooker, I put my items in before evening and set the cooker to WARM.

What exactly does "e-commerce-ready packaging imply?

Answer: E-commerce-ready packaging is a set of requirements established by warehousing companies (Amazon is one of them) that govern the size, efficiency, and protection provided to the goods. As a result, the packaging may differ from what you would regularly see at a brick-and-mortar store, as such items are often transported on a pallet and do not need to be as robust.

Is it possible to remove the rubber seal if you don't want it? I've read about people complaining about the scent of seals, and I don't need one. Can I get rid of it?

Yes, the rubber seal does generate an odor while cooking. The rubber seal is used to keep the lid closed during transportation. During cooking, do not close the lid. I'd also want a lid that doesn't smell like burned rubber. I have not attempted to delete it.

I'm wary about the place where the probe will go. Is there a hole in the cover? Is it always open for liquid to evaporate?

Yes, the probe is inserted through a hole in the lid. When the probe is not used, the hole is not large enough to induce significant evapation.

Which temperatures are associated with low, high, and warm?

Answer: Crock pots do not track temperature in this manner; however, if you use the probe and want your roast to achieve an internal temperature of 165°, allow 3 1/2 hours on high and 6 hours on low. It instantly converts to warm mode and maintains the inside temperature.
