Why is there no cfm in the description? That is the most crucial feature for anyone shopping for a range hood.

CFM for the UC-PS38 Pro model is 950.
If the duct is converted to a 4 inch, is it noisier?
I don't think you'll get an answer to that because I don't think anyone would even attempt it.
For the 950 CFM benefit to be realised, a 6 inch duct is required.
You might as well just buy a 4 inch duct model or brand with a lower CFM rating.
What size is the exhaust duct?
The hood has a 6" duct attachment, to be precise.
I would only advise getting larger if there were a lot of 45-degree twists and/or a long run.
I made an eight foot route with three elbows using 8" duct and an adaptor on the hood outlet.
Works perfectly.
Water was recommended for the steam auto-clean function, but may I also add detergent to improve cleaning?
Yes, you may use diluted 1/100 dishwashing detergent or a small bit of neutral detergent.
Can rear venting be installed?
The only top venting on this PS38 is for a 6" round.
How is the time on the clock changed? The clock button functions as a timer when the fans are running. The clock button doesn't function at all aside from that.
The range hood is turned off when the "clock button" counts down to 0 on a three-minute countdown timer.

Is a 6" circular adaptor included with this range hood for vertical venting? Do I have to order each pipe separately?
The range hood has THREE-WAY VENTING, as follows:
For rear venting, use a 10" x 3-1/4" rectangle adapter for the back and a 6" round adapter for the vertical venting.
It will be necessary to order the exhaust ducting separately or buy it from your neighbourhood hardware store.
What is the decibel level at the various operating levels?

If properly vented to the outside, it is more than powerful enough.
Hood has power, but neither the light nor the fan are operating. How can things be made right? Where can I buy a switch and how do I install it?
Answer:A power cycle reset will quickly resolve your problem.
Please unplug the range hood from the electrical socket, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, wait another 30 seconds, and then test the functionality.
