    FAQS :

How long will an Airsense 10 Cpap last?

Answer: It depends on your air pressure and the settings. The unit includes a 10 watt or less auto-off mechanism that applies to all output ports, including the DC one, which you should use with a CPAP. This is a significant worry if you're attempting to lengthen the battery life. I bought this and used it with my Resmed Airsense 10 with DC converter, and it lasted around 5.5 hours at a 7 watt draw before shutting off (My unit is set to Auto and my pressure avg 8.7). The explorer 240 started the night with 100 percent capacity and is now at just 84 percent, thus it performed admirably until the auto off option was activated. At my usage rate, I figured that it would last 3 to 4 nights of camping before needing to be recharged. Although this appears to be a fantastic product, the auto off option should be removed for decreased energy usage. The 6-hour auto-off feature is not clearly stated in the specifications for all output ports, but it does apply. The website suggests turning off functionality to reduce power draw while using with a CPAP. I was successful in extending the charge's life, but no one wants to wake up to a 6 hour built-in alarm, unable to breathe since the battery had gone off. You may increase the power to over 10 watts by adding additional things, but this limits the amount of time it will run, or simply accept that you may have to switch it back on after 6 hours.

Is it possible to use all of the ports at the same time that it's charging?

Answer: I just returned from a weekend camping trip when there was no electricity at the campground... I used my CPAP machine, charged my phone, and wore my iWatch for at least 7 hours...from 100% to exactly 67 percent by morning. Knowing I had a backup source of electricity in the event of a power outage was rather remarkable to me.

What kind of cooler can it keep operating for the promised 24 hours?

Answer: Although the last answer is correct, I would like to add something. I'm not an expert on portable refrigerators, but I do own two and have attempted to work this out. The fridge will operate constantly until it reaches the preset temperature, after which it will cycle the compressor on and off to maintain that temperature. Ambient temperature has a big impact on how long the battery lasts. I've discovered that between 85 and 90 degrees, I can get 20 hours, but after that, it lowers significantly, and incidentally, all power plants have a "working temperature" that you must be aware of. For example, these power stations are generally worthless for me when I go camping in the summer since the peak temperatures in my location are 100 degrees or higher, which is too hot for lithium batteries. Because I don't operate a consumer lab, I can't tell much more than that the battery life varies a lot depending on the ambient temperature. Both of my refrigerators feature eco mode, which means the compressor runs at a lower speed to save energy, but it's a delicate balancing act. If the fridge can't maintain the desired temperature, it runs longer, consuming more energy. If the ambient temperature is too high and the fridge can't keep up, you may wind up spending more energy in eco mode than in non-eco mode. Furthermore, if you have a non-regulated DC output, the lower the voltage, the fewer watts the power station will provide, meaning the fridge will have to work harder to maintain the desired temperature. Although the description does not state that this is a controlled 12V output, users claim that it is. I can't say because I haven't made up my mind about whether or not to buy. Normally, you can tell right away since these fridges display the input voltage; if it's a constant 12 or close to it, it's regulated. So, if you run the fridge in an RV with AC and maintain the temperature below 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and you also precool the fridge from a wall outlet, just about any power station of this size should give you 20 hours of run time, maybe 24 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. However, if you're going camping where the temperatures will exceed 90 degrees, you'll need a cooler full of ice. You may save money and time by purchasing a home freezer, filling it with ice, and purchasing a high-insulated cooler. Alternatively, you may invest in a solar panel. They can run at greater temperatures, but you'll need a strong voltage regulator and, of course, the sun, which isn't always assured.

Is it possible to store a fully charged Jackery Explorer 300 securely indoors? Should any measures be taken if this is the case?

Answer: THE JACKERY 300 WAS MADE TO BE USED PRIMARY INDOORS. NOT TO SAY IT CANNOT BE USED WHILE CAMPING IN THE OUTDOORS. I KEEP MINE ON MY NIGHTSTAND AS A BACKUP FOR MY C-PAP MACHINE IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.

Is it possible to charge and use at the same time?

Answer: I'm not sure where Jackery gets the idea that it'll 'destroy the battery life.' Pass through charging is a type of charging that allows electricity to flow to a device while maintaining battery performance. As a result, When the battery is fully charged, the excess power is directed to the gadget, which might be in standby or active mode. It will send electricity to a plugged-in device without drawing from the battery. Exactly the same as before the charge. While charging, a percentage of the power used to charge the battery is diverted to the device that requires power. It will take longer to charge, but it will provide the plugged-in gadget with the extra full power it needed without draining the battery. Pass through charging is currently available on numerous gadgets throughout the world, including phones, laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices. It's even better to leave it plugged in when using or charging a gadget. It won't affect the internal battery, and the box will keep it trickle-charging so it's always charged, unless there's a power outage and you need that full charge.

Is it possible to start a car using this unit?

Answer: The Jackery power station cannot jump start a car; but, it may charge the battery and subsequently start the automobile using this cable.
