    FAQS :

What is the difference between an ena 1 micro machine and an a1 machine?

Answer: I learned about the Jura since my workplace had an Ena Micro 1. I adore the coffee it produces and consume approximately 6 cups each day. I got the A1 for home assuming it would be similar, if not slightly better, due to the PEP and enhanced grinder. The A1 was really a letdown for me. I felt that the coffee tasted weak and lacked flavour (I used the same beans that we'd been using at the workplace). I used it at home for about 10 days before getting an Ena Micro 1 to trial alongside it before returning one of them since I suspected I was hallucinating the A1 wasn't as nice. Even after numerous cups, I discovered that the Ena Micro 1 creates superior tasting coffee, even when compared side by side, using the same beans (medium roast Toms Malawi), the same grinder knob position (original default), and the same water quantity set. When you read the advancements, the A1 sounds great, but I'm certain that the Ena brews stronger coffee that tastes better to me.

Using one full tank of water, how many cups of coffee can it produce with the largest cup size?

If you make 3 cups of 8oz (biggest size) coffee at once, the water tank will contain roughly 3 cups. When the machine goes on and off, it utilises water to rinse, so there will be less if it stops off. But, since it's such a great coffee, I can forgive it for needing to refill it more regularly than my now almost 16-year-old bigger Jura.

In ounces, how big is the biggest cup of coffee this machine can make?

Answer: No, despite the fact that the book demonstrates how to configure the A1 to make longer coffees, IT WILL NOT WORK. According to the book, if you hold the espresso button down for three seconds, coffee will flow until you push it again. Coffee will pour from two spouts while doing this, according to the book. There is just one spout on this machine. When comparing the A1 to other machines on the JURA website, it is said that the A1 cannot be configured for longer coffee. The vendors and JURA must revise the instruction manual and delete the programming instructions. This machine is a loss for me since it lacks the capacity to programme longer coffees. I'm returning the machine and replacing it with a D6 model.

Why isn't my A1 machine working?

Answer: I returned the Jura machine since it produced lukewarm coffee. I was quite dissatisfied with this Swiss firm. My Breville espresso machine performs well.

Is it possible to programme the machine to make two distinct varieties of coffee? What's the difference between decaf and regular coffee?

Answer: The Ena Micro 5, like other Jura machines (save the E6), includes a powder funnel for ground coffee, as others have said. Except for the E6 and the GIGA 6, which come with two programmed grinders in addition to the powder chute.

When you go to two-cup mode, does the machine truly twice the espresso grind? Or does it just pour more water or create half the amount?

Yes, it makes the grind twice as hard.

Is this machine just capable of making espresso or can it also brew a cup of ordinary coffee?

Answer: This machine, like others like the A1, can make espresso, ristretto, or an 8-ounce cup of coffee (1 or 2 cups at a time).

Is it tall enough to pour into a portable cup, maybe angled?

Yes, it is correct. The pour spout may simply be shifted up and down a couple of inches. All you have to do now is slide the spout up and slip a mug's lip beneath the spout. The spout will protrude a little, but I use a 16oz Thermos travel cup that works excellent and fits perfectly on or off the tray with a little tilting. If you want a larger cup, you will need to devise an alternative way. I hope this information is useful.

Is the machine tilted in any way? Is it slanted forward or did I obtain a faulty one?

Answer: Yes, the machine is skewed somewhat, which I suppose is on design. Mine is the same way, and I was wondering the same thing at first.]
