How frequently should filters be changed?

Answer: We have a 2400 square foot home with a mix of hardwood and carpets. In the family area, we have one enormous luxurious rug and two collies. We used the vacuum four times on the floors and four times to remove pet hair from the sofas and linens. So far, the bag indicator light has not illuminated, and upon inspection, there appears to be room for additional hair/dirt. I'm expecting it'll just take one more pass before it needs to be altered. So, in our experience, it appears to hold quite a bunch, and you won't be feeding this vacuüm mit pricey bags too often!

Is this model, 81615, a replacement for the 81614? The 81615 is presently not mentioned on Kenmore's website or anywhere else online.

I'm 5' tall. How does the vacuum have an 11-foot reach if the telescopic wand only extends 3'?

Answer: The vacuum has an 11' extension, not you; measuring from the rear of the vacuum to the end of the hose yields a length of 96 „ The extended wand 36„combined for a total of 122“ (11')

Does this vacuum go under beds?

Yes... but keep in mind that the swivel on the power head prevents the wand from lying flat (i.e. parallel to the floor). It can easily vacuum under smaller beds, especially when the wand is extended, however cleaning under a California King is problematic because the wand does not rest flat. Also, keep in mind that the power head is 3 1/2 inches tall, which precludes it from fitting under most sofas. If your bed is close to the floor, the power head may not fit.
