    FAQS :

versus the Logitech Z623? greater or lesser

Answer: I spent the last five years with a Logitech Z623. Excellent speakers! I had owned an identical Klipsch, and they were also fantastic. Although Klipsch was clearer at high frequencies, Logitech has a better subwoofer. I recently purchased Klipsch because my Logitech became dated and began making noise from the left speaker. I just connected the Klipsch, and I'm really disappointed! I'm not sure what they changed about Klipsch, but the sound quality is subpar in comparison to Logitech. Not at all the sound I was expecting. I have no idea; perhaps they are damaged.

What inputs is this compatible with? Coaxial? optical or RCA analog signals?

There are two coaxes—a male and a female. Nothing optical, RCA, or Bluetoof. The control unit on the speakers I own easily separates from the speaker. The design may have recently changed.

I want something that kicks and maybe even shakes the desk because I'm in college. Comparing these to the Logitech Z623

Since I haven't personally used the Z623s, I can only say that the Klipschs have a lot of bass. I keep the subwoofer underneath my desk, and the bass volume is normally set to about 25%, which is more than plenty. My windows are rattling even with the bass and volume pushed up all the way (it would be quite difficult to make my desk shake because it is so hefty and robust). You have been forewarned if you want to use these in a dorm or apartment because there will undoubtedly be noise complaints.

I've given up looking for comments about the true THX experience, despite the speaker having over a thousand reviews. In 2.1 THX, how does Star Wars sound?

Although I am unable to directly respond to your inquiry, I might still be able to be of some assistance, especially considering how many years have passed. Though now that the thought is in my head, it seems like a brilliant idea, I haven't had the chance to relive Star Wars with my system. My wife and I just watched a THX-encoded version of Venom while it wasn't Star Wars, and the sound from this tiny system completely astounded us. It was simply incredible. The audio track, as heard through this amazing 2.1 THX system from Klipsch, significantly increased our enjoyment of the movie. What an amazing adventure! I had already watched Venom on our enormous flat-screen TV with sound from an ancient, full-sized (though rather out-of-date) Sony 5.1 system. The Klipsch experience was completely unique in the finest possible ways.

Are there any headphone jacks on these speakers? If so, where is it located?

Yes, and it is situated next to the satellite speakers.

What differences do these have from the earlier THX-certified version?

The THX speakers were a gift, but I bought them via the Letgo app, so I own both sets. These have more punchy bass and higher-fidelity audio with higher highs. The THX set just has a neutral sound, not because they are better. It is expected to Because neutral sound more closely mimics the sound engineer's mix, neutral sound is preferred in movies and music. However, the 2.1 Pro Media speakers sound fantastic and highlight every positive aspect of the audio you are listening to. A big soundstage is perfect for genres of hip-hop like industrial, retrowave, and any hip-hop. With these speakers, you can't go wrong!

No power on/off switch to be found?

The LED remains white at all times, so there isn't an on/off button. I do know that the sub goes off with the PC, but not the satellites. However, the sound quality is still superior to that of the Logitech Z-623. Z-623s can be a little louder, but the middle and bass are lost.

    Do these support Bluetooth?

No, they are not, but Klipsch does offer a pair of speakers that are.

Is this certified by THX? In the description, it is not mentioned.

The new Promedia 2.1 computer speakers aren't THX-certified, to be precise.

Does connecting these speakers to the Amazon Echo Dot make sense?

Response: YES! I do this at home because a standard system simply cannot fit, and the sound is fantastic. A similar setup is utilized in my garage. In my basement movie room, I have a Dot connected to my stereo. There is no better way (with an Amazon music purchase) to have limitless music around the house.

Please connect me to the Bluetooth version of these.

I've only ever seen wired versions of these; there are no Bluetooth variants. For a Bluetooth version, I believe you would need to go to the Klipsch soundbar.
