    With this bidet installed, is the toilet seat level (rear and front)?

    Answer: I have a wooden seat and did not require additional bumpers (but ordered some because of all the discussion about it). The seat has the same feel as before, but now it has a superb bidet option. This was confirmed by my plumber. My wood seat already had four plastic bumpers, so there was plenty of room for the plastic platform.

    What is more effective? Should I use wet wipes or this bidet? Do you have to use more toilet paper than usual because your backside gets soggy?

    Answer: You use less toilet paper, and you simply use it to wipe away the water, so a wet wipe isn't necessary. If you live in a home with a septic tank, a bidet is essential since it keeps a large amount of wood pulp out of your septic tank. I wish there was an electric outlet behind the toilet; you'll need one of those cheap $100 point-of-use instant-on hot water heaters; otherwise, skip the hot water models. It takes an inordinate amount of time to get hit with water at the toilet.

    Does the self-cleaning nozzle feature totally clean the nozzle, or does some manual cleaning still need to be done?

    The nozzle is hidden behind a little door that opens when actuated. The door keeps bodily fluids away from the nozzle. To clean the door and the space around it, I use a Lysol or Clorox wipe. It's not particularly filthy, but I like to give it a quick swipe. If anything got into the nozzle by accident, the self-cleaning feature would take care of it.

    Is it clean on the front and back?

    The Neo 120 comes with a single nozzle with a fixed spray. If you want a dual-nozzle bidet that cleans both the front and back (normal and women's wash), we propose the Neo 180 or 185 versions.

    What is the distinction between the Luxe 180 and 185?

    Answer: Unlike the Neo 180, the Neo 185 has a revolving water pressure control knob rather than a pull-up lever. This is the only distinction between the two models.

    The product specifies a twin nozzle. Is the location of both nozzles on the same mechanism? How does the female nozzle function?

    The nozzles are side by side and only drop down when actuated. The usual cleaning nozzle will descend when the knob is turned to Wash. When the knob is adjusted to "women, the nozzle for women drops. The female nozzle has a lower angle and a gentler spray.

    Do you have any recommendations for toilet seats (of particular brands and models) that are compatible with the Neo 185 and/or 180 bidet attachments?

    Answer: These fit all seats; I acquired some larger bolts to go through the toilet seat to make it a little more solid; it doesn't move at all; I heard you might need bumpers; search for those at Walmart. I purchased the Aquaus T adapter on Amazon for $20 to manage the water flow to the bidet without interfering with the water supply to the toilet tank. The Neo 185 is an excellent product.

    Will there be any damage to the unit if I install a hot/cold mixing valve ahead of the Luxe 185 input and route hot water through it?

    Answer: A variant with hot and cold water ports is available for a few bucks more. So I don't think this one would have any problems with it. If you have easy access to your hot and cold water valves, I'd recommend the heated kind.
