    FAQS :

Is this 104 lumens, as shown in the picture? What are 139 lumens? or 200 lumens (as claimed by maglite.com for the XL50)

Answer: My order included two XL50s. One was labeled 139 lumens, whereas the other was labeled 200 lumens. The box and flashlights are otherwise identical. There are no visible differences in brightness between the two. They are quite brilliant. I'm not sure why various lumens are listed for the XL50 on different websites. Mine look to be the same.

What are the real dimensions of the product? This listing shows the box size, which I don't care about.

Answer: I don't have a ruler, so here are some reference points... The diameter is slightly larger than a US quarter, while the length is slightly longer than an iPhone.

Will this work as a weapon?

yes! It's a 1" diameter holder with tons of options. Some of the weapon lights available on Amazon are completely useless. Buy something around $100 or more, or the XL50 with a rail mount for less than $20. Boom.

Is it true that this light dims to 25% after 5 minutes of continuous use? I'd like to use it as a bike light.

Answer: I've had no difficulties with this lamp at all. There is no light dropout after 5 minutes or battery waste when the light is turned off. On high beam, the batteries appear to last about 6–8 hours. As you could guess, my light starts to dim exactly when the batteries are about to run out. The light beam, while brilliant, has a limited range; no doubt, drivers will notice you, but a bike light may be more effective.

Is the light capable of handling energizer-ultimate lithium batteries? Is it suggested? What is the finest AA battery ($ can purchase) for this light? Only non-rechargeable

Answer: For some inexplicable reason, Maglite only insures their flashlights with free new Rayovac batteries. It's easier to get melted batteries out of the XL50-200 line, but you have to mail the torch to the battery company for payment if the batteries leak.

Is it usual for there to be a noise on the LED part when shaking the torch body?

Answer: Mine is brand new, works perfectly, and DOES make a small noise when shaken. It nearly sounds like a spring moving, which it could be with the batteries. It's not very loud, and my light works perfectly, so if it doesn't work with the noise, it's plainly broken. If it works with a quiet noise, it could be normal. As previously stated, mine was purchased brand new a few hours ago and does make some noise, but if it dies quickly, I will notify you that this is not typical.

What is the distinction between the XL50 and the XL200? I don't notice much of a difference.

Answer: I googled it and found a comparison that showed the XL50 has 104 lumens and a maximum distance of 145 m. The XL200 emits 17 lumens and has a maximum range of 138 meters.

What is the actual length and diameter?

The diameter is 1 inch, and the length is 4.8 inches!

Is this product simple to use?

Answer: I've never used a multi-purpose flashlight before. My flashlight was either turned on or turned off. The XL200 has the capability to adjust how the light is cast. After reading the XL200's instructions once, I was able to operate it as intended. So I'd say it was rather simple for someone who has never used such lights before.

    Is the XL200 water-resistant, water-proof, or neither?

Maglite does not claim that this is waterproof. I couldn't locate it on the packaging, but given the tightness of the rubber seals, I'd think it's water-resistant.

How is the battery pack removed?

Answer: Simply unscrew the push-button, turn the flashlight upside down without the push-button, and the battery pack will slide out. This is a battery arrangement that accommodates three AAA batteries.

How long is the manufacturer's warranty?

Answer: According to the manufacturer's website, "The terms of Mag Instrument's consumer warranty vary depending on the product and the region of the world." In general, we provide a limited lifetime warranty in the Western Hemisphere and a ten-year limited warranty in the rest of the world. The warranty excludes certain parts and components and reduces the duration of coverage for others. Handling fees may also differ depending on the goods and locality."

How do you replace the batteries?

Let me give you some advice. I bought four of them, and they worked fine. They ultimately stopped working. The inside is rusted. the cap that you screw off at the end to replace the batteries. You'd think the MAGLITE would be an excellent investment!

Can you use a higher-voltage AAA rechargeable battery, such as a lithium ion?

Answer: I'm not sure that's a good idea. The batteries are connected in series, so the three 1.5-volt AAAs total 4.5 volts. Lithium-ion AAA batteries have a voltage of roughly 3.7 volts; therefore, connecting them in series would result in a voltage of over 14 volts, which would most likely destroy the LED light bulb.

Is this flashlight resistant to impact? Will it still work if I dump it, please?

Answer: Hello, I've been using the XL200 for a few months now. During that time, I accidentally dropped the flashlight from table height onto the hard floor a few times. It still works flawlessly. If your impact resistance expectations are higher, I do not have (and do not want to have) any plans for experimental testing.
