    FAQS :

Can you take the stand off?

The CM1150V's stand is simply removed by removing a single silver screw from the bottom of the device. You require a Torx-8 screwdriver or something similar to use this specific modem. It was mentioned in an earlier review, perhaps for a different modem, that a Torx-9 was needed.

Does this support IP from Spectrum or U Verse?

ATT (Uverse) is built on DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) technology, which is not at all compatible with DOCSIS. I'm not sure about Spectrum (Data Over Cable). The quick answer is no. The cable modem is from Netgear.

What does it imply that it is incompatible with voice services included in cable packages?

One Ethernet 1000 Mbs cable out and one Coax cable in are both supported by this modem. You will need a splitter and a telephone modem for the landline phone if your cable internet and voice (telephone) service are both included.

What should I use in its stead to increase speed. I have an Xfinity arris modem, model number TG1682G?

I switched to a Netgear CM700 modem from an Arris TM722G (DOCSIS 3) modem (from 2016) and saw a fivefold boost in throughput speed. I'm not sure how you could receive a greater raise than that.

    Does it support Fio?

Answer: According to a simple internet search, NO, you cannot. Not a router, but a modem. Verizon Fios does not require modems since it runs on a network that is entirely made of fiber optics. In its place, it makes use of an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), which is effectively a fiber-optic modem.

If I move to their modem, would it work with Hughes Network?

I have 5 devices connected through wifi to this modem. However, it seems to dip down two to three times a week for no apparent reason. The cable provider arrived and inspected the hard wiring for all cables. It looked okay. Description: Netgear CM600 vs CM700
