    You'll need a modem, of course. This is nothing more than a router.

    Can I use the r7000p-100nas as the gateway (the first router to the house) for verizon fios. Is there one with mimo dual band that is better?

    Answer: Yes, you may use it as a Gateway for your Verizon FIOS. It's a Mu-Mimo dual-band device. Are there any that are better? Yes, there are quite a few. It all depends on your requirements. This one has been around for a while and supports the 802.11ac standard. 802.11ax is the latest standard, which offers even higher speeds and a broader range of devices at the same time... providing your WiFi gadgets are modern enough to support 802.11ax, which isn't many at this stage.

    what is home size coverage for this device?

    Answer:I'm not sure where I received the range information for this device, but I bought it assuming that it would be plenty to reach around my two-story, 2700-square-foot home. I don't have it at my house since I mistook it for a wifi/cable modem gadget, which it isn't, so I gave it to my sister. I did, however, purchase its wifi/cable modem equivalent and have had no problems with range or speed. I use that gadget to power my VIVE system, and it works perfectly.

    Will this work with fibre connection?

    Answer: I'm not sure, however it could work if you have a separate modem. I purchased the AC1750 (R6700). They have the same appearance. It turns out that this is Router ONLY. For VDSL or Internet over TV, there is no modem provided. A separate modem is required. It has a cable network connection from a modem. I stored mine for six months before attempting to install it. I was unable to return it. I had to toss something away.

    Is it possible to use this router for purposes other than gaming? I'm not a gamer.

    Yes, you certainly can. Your network and router settings are simple to set up and configure with dumaOS. When compared to the Netgear X4S, the dumaOS costs a little more (which is the exactly the same router in terms of hardware spec).     The X8 appears to have larger storage space. They're both mu-mimo, however the x8 has six instead of four ports. The operating system was one of the main reasons I bought it (look up Netduma). If you aren't having any problems, you may choose to stick with what you have, but if you desire the benefits of the dashboard and operating system and have the funds, you may test it out.

    Answer: Even the most basic routers are sufficient for up to 128 sessions. On 256 sessions, this router performs admirably. This router will suffice unless you intend to connect more than 256 Xboxes. Your internet connection, on the other hand, is a different storey.
