    FAQS :

My download bandwidth is 500 Mbps. Is this router capable of handling that download speed?

Answer: Your router's WiFi will not reach 500. Except if you utilize the WiFi 6 or 6E (which is not included with this one),

Is this modem compatible with the CenturyLink network?

If you have a broad-band DSL high-speed service, the answer is no.

Is a modem required with this router?

Yes, you will need a suitable modem from your service provider.

    Is the AT&T compatible Netgear Nighthawk AX2400 WiFi 6 router, 2.4 GB/s (rax29)?

Answer: All routers are compatible with any service and any carrier or provider; however, the best coverage is determined by square footage and nearby wifi signals.

Can you install a USB port for a printer?

Yes, as long as you wish to share the printer with other PCs on your network; however, you cannot connect your printer to a ready-to-share USB for installation purposes.

Can the SSID name and password be changed so that I don't have to update each of my 48 smart home devices individually?

Yes, you may maintain the same SSID and password from your prior router configuration. You should reboot all of your smart devices so that they can rejoin the new SSID router. Also, since you appear to have a large number of devices, you might choose a Netgear access point such as the WAX218 or WAC540, which can handle over 200 wireless devices and operate on POE+.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade from a Nighthawk x4? I pay for a gigabit service but only receive 550 mbps through Wi-Fi.

Answer: To be honest, I abandoned the Nighthawk X4 in favor of the Eero 6 Pro. The night hawk simply had too many issues. The Eero was simple to set up. It has worked well, and with a 600 MPS service, I receive around 620 MPS. If you have more than one device hooked up to your network, you will need a gigabit switch.

Why is my connection returning to 1.2 gigabits per second using my AX210 and AX211 adapters? For 2.4Gbps, I have to restart the router every day.

Answer: It might be your service provider! Spectrum throttles internet speeds if you don't use their lousy equipment, for which you pay a monthly charge. I had a tech come out and tell me that unless you use Spectrum's modem and router, you won't receive much more than 1 gig. He did add that there is a workaround for obtaining what you're paying for, but he wouldn't tell me what it is. They just put fiber optic across my area, and I am certain that they will acquire my business because Spectrum is attempting to monopolize the fact that they are the only service available, with the exception of DSL, which we tested and found to be dreadful. Because it's all coming from a satellite, either they couldn't afford better satellites or they didn't want to. I've had three different NETGEAR routers and modems and never had any problems with them, except that they outlived the most recent technology and had to be replaced. I am a great believer in owning my equipment since the equipment rented to you by the supplier is garbage! I've also had multiple problems with Motorola modems overheating. I can't find NETGEAR at any local store, and if they do, it's too pricey. Overall, I've been quite pleased with NETGEAR, but I was dissatisfied when they performed a firmware upgrade on my Nighthawk X10 and I was robbed of one of my streams for some 60 GHz band that I have no idea what it's for or was supposed to be for. That was an expensive router with a lot of ports, including six plus link aggregation.

Will it make a difference if I use an Ethernet cable for all of my devices?

Answer: Using a physical connection (Ethernet) ensures a reliable connection without the risk of wireless difficulties (varying WiFi speeds, etc.).
