    Could this be used in place of a mixer? Can it, for example, make cookie dough, cake batter, egg whites, and so on?

    The Ninja can effortlessly handle cookie dough and cake batter. However, it is a high-speed unit. This is not suitable for anything that requires blending on low. I still have my mixer, which I use at moderate speeds. My Ninja does come with a "dough blade," which I use for pie crust, bread dough, and other similar tasks. I haven't tried it with egg whites, but I assume it would work well because the rapid speed incorporates a lot of air. Whipping cream performs admirably.

    Can you blend hot soups and liquids?

    Answer: It cannot hold hot drinks, but it can hold warm liquids.

    I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to find any more single serve cups. Does anyone know where I can get those?

    Answer: I know it's late, but there are some single serve cups and lids for all Ninja Blenders on eBay for a reasonable price.

    Is it common for food particles to become entangled at the bottom of the four corners of a dishwasher?

    Answer: I do not clean mine in a dishwasher. To clean my spectacles, I use a brush designed expressly for this purpose, which eliminates all particles from any corner.

    What is the warranty period?

    Answer: I discovered the hard way that only the motor is protected by a one-year guarantee, and everything else is not. After ten months, the large pitcher cracked, and the replacement costs $100.

    Is this a coffee bean or grain blend?

    Answer: You can, but it will take some practise to make the grind consistent for the flavour of coffee you require. I would grind smaller amounts of beans for a shorter period of time, utilising pulses rather than on... You'll want a coarser grind consistency than you think because it's quite easy to get the grind looking like what you buy pre-ground, and your coffee will clog up in the filter basket. For decades, I've used numerous methods to grind my own coffee and various ways to make coffee, from campfire style to regular drip to french press and pod style. If your coffee grounds are too fine, they resist being wet and the water leaks out, as the expression "water off a duck's back" suggests. So start with tiny quantities. If you obtain a batch of grounds that are too fine, simply place them in any sealable container, zipper bag, jar with a lid, etc., add cold water, and mix, stir, or shake for 30 minutes to overnight depending on the strength you want. You'll want to filter this at least twice before brewing the grounds as usual. Warm the beverage and dilute with water to taste. It's basically a case of trial and error to get it the way you want it.

    Can the two 24 oz cups be filled and frozen?

    Answer: Yes, but do not combine them frozen.
