Yes, it is. This is the characteristic that allows it to be used as a griddle. When the lid is raised, the bottom heating element continues to operate without the need for the upper air-frying heating element.
Is the model with the thermometer worth the extra money, or will this model suffice?
Answer: I wouldn't spend the extra $150 for the unit's thermometer and a few other presets. You might spend a lot less money on an external (more accurate) thermometer.
Because one of the seven functions is baking, I know it will bake the Tostinos square party pizzas. Will it accommodate a large, round pizza?
No, I don't think so. It's bigger than the original Ninja, has a larger cooking area, and is rectangular, which limits what can fit on it. You'll have a greater chance if the larger pizza is square or rectangular. They are, however, fantastic for French bread pizza.

Answer: 1. It is oblong and measures 9 inches by 12 inches. 2. Clock range dehydrating It has a dehydrating option, but I haven't used it and don't know how it works. 3. Because mine is the less expensive model, it lacks a thermometer. The one with a thermometer is $100 more expensive.

Who knows? is the answer. There are no instructions, recipes, or accessories available for the feature. Neither for the bake or roast functions. What exactly are they thinking?

No, just a rag and some soapy water. The screen or oil filter can be removed and washed in the dishwasher. Use no strong chemicals on this.
What is one thing you wish you had known before purchasing it?
The thermometer will not function on food products that are at or below 35 degrees F (1.5 degrees C). It will flash on and off to indicate that the probe must be placed. If you want to cook straight from the freezer or fridge, you must first allow the food to warm up before attempting to use temperature control. This should be included in the instruction manual. They, however, do not. Apart from that, I adore everything about it.
Can you bake in this with other baking pans or Corningware?
Corningware should only be used in a preheated oven. Failure to do so may result in it breaking.
How big of a full chicken can you air fry?
Answer: A typical-sized frier chicken will suffice. You should, however, spatchcock it. Otherwise, it simply does not cook properly.
What distinguishes this product from the 6-in-1 FG551 model?
Answer: You can griddle with this model, and you can cook with the lid open or closed. The FG551 lacks a griddle and can only cook with the lid closed.
Is it capable of producing kabobs?
Answer: I haven't tried it, but it cooks steaks and chops, so kabobs should be fine!
What size and brand of liner is advised for this item?
Answer: I'm not sure I understand the query. When I bought this Ninja Grill, it arrived with everything I needed. I didn't need to buy anything else to use it. I'm confident you'll be pleased if you purchase one.
