Simply put, I enjoy that there is only one lid to manage, and the steam and fry functions are awesome. thus preventing moisture loss. Additionally, it is simpler to clean than the previous Ninja, or at least it was for me. Knowing that each person is unique Although the old Ninja can accomplish the same thing, I feel like this cooks my food more quickly and to my satisfaction. Nevertheless, I adore my new Ninja. Though I am prejudiced because I adore this new Ninja more, the cooking possibilities are comparable. Nevertheless, I hope this was at least slightly helpful. Again, it depends on your needs. I adore the air-frying feature that both provide, and I am aware that the more recent model has additional bells and whistles and settings. Everything depends on how likely you are to use it. I believe you can't go wrong with either, but because of how I cook and the things I create, I personally preferred the newer model. Enjoy the features, and I hope this was helpful. The newer model has a significant advantage over the older one when it comes to roasting: you can manage the temperature and keep an eye on the meat's inside temperature using the probe. For me, a 6.5 would be perfect. Are the extra features on this model really worth it if I don't need the extra size?
I've had mine for a while, and I'll be honest—unless you can get a fantastic deal—I don't think it's particularly worth the extra cash.
Can I purchase a spare air fryer basket for this model if necessary?
Answer: I suppose so, and you can find it on the Ninja website under accessories. I know I broke my Ninja blender, but I was able to replace it by purchasing the blender container from their website. I actually called them and inquired, and their customer support assisted me. I believe you may purchase extras, so check with Ninja.
Is the temperature probe included in this 6..5?
No, just one of the 8-quart models (the OL701) includes the probe. And, unfortunately, it is not available separately for the other two variants.
What is the weight of this?
Answer: That's too much for me. It's twice the size of my 8-quart Instant Pot.
For this model, I'm looking for the "cook & crisp" basket. My model number (501) is not shown on the Ninja website. Does anyone know why?
It came with the crisper plate, of course. To receive the basket, enter a different model of the same size. I own both the 501 and the 701. For me, both the basket and the plate work equally well. I've constructed ribs in both and arranged them in a circle. There is no distinction.
Is there a second pot available?
Answer: I completely concur with Patti. I used to have stainless steel pots in a couple of pressure cookers and despised them. Food burned readily in them, and even with a barkeeper's friend, they were tough to clean. Using metal utensils will harm stainless steel as well. When utilizing the OL601 or OL701, the steam and crisp feature requires only 1 cup of water for most items. The water for the crisping cycle has been completely evaporated by the time the food is steamed. This burns the residue on the bottom of the saucepan. This would be difficult to clean if you used a steel pot. Warm water is used to clean the nonstick pot. To address your question, Ninja does sell a second frying pot. In answering your concern, I also wanted to address the suggestion to purchase a stainless steel pot, which I strongly oppose.
