    FAQS :

Is the rw500, as advertised on the nordictrack website, included with the tablet?

    It does, in fact.

Is it possible to transmit the screen to your television?

Answer: I'm not sure; the stream is for iFit, so you may be able to watch it via a TV with a WiFi connection. It is not a problem for me since my screen is 26".

I'm interested in purchasing one of these Nordic models. What's the difference between the 500 and the 900 in terms of outside costs?

The only change, as far as I'm aware, is the screen size. I have the 900 and am pleased with the large screen.

Is it possible to utilise an iPad instead of a tablet?

Answer: I'm not sure what you're asking. Yes, a tablet/smart phone application can be used anywhere, but if you're wondering whether you can replace the NordicTrack electronics with a tablet/smart phone and connect it with the rower's electronics, there are a lot of elements to consider before answering that question. I recommend that you inquire with Nordic Track.

It specifies a maximum weight of 250 pounds. I'm 272 pounds. I intend to lose 70 pounds. Do you think this would put too much strain on it till I lose weight in around 6 weeks?

My weight is 240 pounds. I've already started creating a squeaky noise from the frame ( I thought it was from the wheels under the seat, but confirmed it was from the frame ). I wouldn't advocate utilising it till you're under 250 pounds.

How difficult was it to set up? Was it worth spending $95 for a professional installation, or could I put it up myself?

Answer: You can install it yourself, however I found this useful post with a video tour, hints, and step-by-step instructions: www.reviewsbylance.com/concept2-setup Most people, in my view, won't require assistance; it shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes, but it may take longer if you're not accustomed to putting things together. The article I cited also provided some useful information on whether or not to acquire a mat and which ones work best with the Concept2 rower (its length makes it a little too long for some common training mats), which was something I wasn't sure I wanted to have beneath the rower before putting it together. Honestly, instead of getting a professional to install it, I'd do it myself since it's not like installing a treadmill. If you're simply attempting to follow the given directions, there are a few aspects of the installation that can be tricky, but you can check out the walkthrough in the article to see if it appears like something you could handle on your own. I hope this information is useful.

Will this be large enough for a 6' 5"" person? Is there a benefit to the model E as well?

Answer: I am 6'5" tall (with a 36" inseam) and like this machine. At my local YMCA, I utilise the Model D and Model E. (Which is why I am here looking to buy one). If you're looking for a more precise response, the default monorail, according to Concept2, is designed for users with a 38 "Alternatively, a shorter inseam. If your inseam is more than 38 inches, "Concept2 has an extended rail that you should acquire. The height from the ground and the adjustment of the arm that holds the Performance Monitor are the only differences between the Model D and Model E. (computer). The rail is the same.
