    FAQS :

I always have issues with the cleaning station. Has anyone had any problems with this model?

Yeah, the pump died after 20 months. I'm using the stand to charge and dry the shaver after cleaning it manually. The station is only available as a repair part; however, it costs $100 plus shipping. Two of the previous categories failed for various reasons. The shavers are quite dependable. It's a shame they can't create a long-lasting automatic cleaning system.

Is this a razor-sharp shave? I dislike shavers that do not provide a close shave.

Answer: Certainly a razor's edge. Much is dependent on the refinement of your technique. During the final minute or two, apply a small amount of moisture of any kind so that the skin bunches up or rolls as the shaver head is pressed over it. This exposes the whiskers' roots to the cutters. The end result is an incredibly smooth shave that is easily comparable to the Gillette razor.

I recently received this shaver (without the cleaning base), and there is no mention of putting oil on the blades in the manual. Is it necessary to lubricate it?

Answer: Lubrication is required when metal rubs against metal 14,000 times per minute. Because the blades are far too expensive to replace frequently, adequate lubrication will help them survive longer and remain sharp. Every time I shave, I apply baby oil to the blades and wipe away the excess with a tissue.

    Is it powered by batteries?

There are no batteries. It comes with a charger, much like an iPhone. When you plug it in, a bright light illuminates and says "100%." The marker always indicates how much charge is remaining on the razor as you use it. Per person, my spouse had at least three shaves. He adores it. Excellent for both travel and at home.

Is Arc5 truly superior to Arc4? or perhaps Arc3?

First and foremost, judging men's electric razors is quite subjective. That is why there are so many brands and models to choose from. Much of what I say is my opinion, but not all of it. Facts: To begin with, the ARC5 has one more cutter on the shaving head than the ARC4. Second, when you delve into the heavier beard sections of your face, combine it with the speed of the motor and the power surge feature to make it a faster shaver.

Please respond, Panasonic or anyone! How can you do a quick clean when you're traveling without a charger?

Answer: Rinse the shaver head, put some liquid hand soap on the foil, hold the start button for 2–3 seconds, and the sonic vibration cleaning mode will be activated. After a few moments, press the start button to turn it off (it will shut off automatically after 20 seconds). Remove the foil with care and rinse both the foil and the blade with warm water. Let it air dry. Stay away from direct sunlight. If you don't have any soap, simply remove the foil and rinse the two components before allowing them to air dry.

Is this a plug-in from the United States or just a USB device that I can buy and use in Australia?

Answer: If you buy this item in the United States, it will come with a US plug. We do not advocate using the shaver in another country.

This is my first electric shaver, and I intend to shave in the shower. Is this fully waterproof?

The answer is that it is entirely waterproof. I've been using a Panasonic shower shaver for almost 20 years. They are unrivaled. I recommend replacing the blades and the screen that covers the blades every 6 months to ensure a better shave.
