    FAQS :

Can you use it without the comb and still get the required length setting?

The plastic comb is designed to fit over the cutting edge. It shields the skin from the blades. A setting dial (or wheel) raises or lowers the comb from the cutters. This is how you change the length of your hair. Raising or lowering the comb in relation to the cutting head When you remove the comb, the cutters will be in contact with your skin. I'm not sure I'd use it without the plastic comb. It would be similar to the hair clippers used by barbers, but with a flat cutting head. I believe it would eventually cut you off. At its lowest setting, the comb rests almost entirely on the cutting head.

Will this function when plugged in?

Answer: The 7200 does operate while plugged in.

How does it interact with water to clean it? I know it says it's waterproof, but has anyone had any problems with water?

The only item that is "waterproof" is the attachment. NOT THE SHARP. It is simple to clean with the included brushes.

Can I shave my head with it? or is it only for facial hair?

The answer is that the cutting blade is rather thin. I wouldn't use it on your head. I believe it would get trapped frequently, especially if it is rather thick. Also, because the vacuum chamber is so small, it would rapidly fill up with head hair.

After 6 months, the trimmer is pretty loaded. Do you have any suggestions?

Answer: It's most likely noisy because the black plastic tab on the blade housing (which holds the blade in place) has fallen off. After a few months of use, I experienced the same thing. The plastic tab on the adjustable guide (precise trimmer attachment) snapped as well. I enjoyed the trimmer while it worked; however, the components are poorly built and will certainly break after a short period of time. I would not buy this trimmer unless Norelco resolves the reported flaws and releases a revised version.

I like to have my head stubbled rather than shaved. Is this suitable for sustaining that appearance on a weekly basis if I currently have extremely short hair? (3mm)

Answer: It would definitely work, but it would take some time because the blade is so small. What you require is the Oster Classic 76, my buddy. Pricey, yet the greatest hair clippers you can get that will last forever.
