    I don't have access to a smart phone. Is this compatible with both a laptop and a desktop computer?

    Answer: We usually recommend that the robot be connected to a smartphone. The robot may also function without the need of an app. By pushing the buttons on it, you may utilise it. For it, the APP may support additional features.

    I just purchased a robovac 30c max; how does it compare to this one, which I'm considering returning in favour of this one?

    Answer: I was considering the Eufy 30C Max but went with this one. The battery is twice the size of a ping pong ball, and instead of bouncing around like a ping pong ball, it moves up and down in a square S pattern. In addition to an app, the Robotic 30C comes with a remote. Only one app is available for the E4.

    How well does it function with only one brush on one side?

    Answer: It performs far better than I anticipated. To brush over the walls and furnishings, the vacuum spins and travels in both directions. As I did with my prior robot vacuum, I intend to utilise my conventional vacuum cleaner to perform edging around objects on a monthly basis.

    Is there a holding tank for filthy water? I have an elderly dog that pees on the tile floor from time to time, and I'm not sure how it would work for that.

    Answer: No. If the robot absorbs any liquid on the floor by mistake, it will be destroyed. Before utilising the robot, make sure the floor is completely dry.

    How effective is the mopping function?

    Answer: I think the mop pad is a good addition. The mop pad has its place, but it can't replace plain old-fashioned floor scouring on your hands and knees. To be honest, the roborock s50 was built mainly as a vacuum cleaner and performs well in that capacity; the "mop" is nothing more than a well-mounted bathroom wash cloth that self-dampens from the water tank. I tested it on a continuous tile floor (kitchen, hall, dining room, mud room) and it worked about as well as I had hoped. Imagine wiping the floor with a moist towel and making a single wipe by hand. That's what it does. No, I wouldn't suggest it's a substitute for a thorough washing of my tile flooring. However, between big scrubbings, the mop would fill the roll of maintenance surface cleaning. Face it, if you're looking at this product, the notion of sweeping, vacuuming, or mopping probably doesn't thrill you ( just like me). You could squander an hour of your day vacuuming and sweeping, or you could relax on the sofa and let the vacuum do the work for you. I'm guessing it's mop pad works better as a dust mop on a well-sealed hardwood floor, but I don't have any hard wood floors so I can't say for sure. Overall, the mop is an addition that adds versatility to the roborock s50, but it won't convince you to ditch your mops and scrub brushes for thorough cleaning. I hope this does not dissuade you from considering a roborock s50 vacuum. I've had my machine for two weeks and can verify that it was designed primarily as a vacuum/sweeper, which it does a fantastic job of sweeping up lint, dust, cat hair, cotton wood tree fuzzys, sand, and other debris.     Is it capable of recognising carpets and avoiding mopping on them? Can you set up zones where you have carpets so it doesn't mop them if not?

    Answer: Please be advised that it will recognise carpets, but it will not prevent mopping on the carpet due to the manual installation of the water tank. If you do not want your carpet to be mopped, you can set up zones where you have carpets, or we recommend using magnetic strips to accurately insulate your carpets to avoid mopping.
