How well does this work to take up long human hair?

Answer: It's quite efficient. The same woman that leaves hair EVERYWHERE and a golden retriever. We have carpeted bonus/makeup room, hardwood floors, and area rugs. Without zero-m technology, our other shark would have hair wrapped after using it for approximately two seconds. After going a week without vacuuming, I recently purchased a zero-m shark (duoclean uv700). When I vacuumed the entire space, there were no hairs wrapped around any of the rollers. To help remove any hair that may have gotten wrapped in the rollers after vacuuming, I would suggest allowing them to spin for a short period of time (this is what I did). The duoclean/zero-m shark vacuums are recommended 12/10. Everyone who claims to have hair wrap, in my opinion, does not allow the rollers to continue spinning after they have finished. I hope this is helpful because I was leery of reviews that said it didn't perform as promised.

What extras are provided?

Answer: According to a review published on July 20, 2019 "Despite being mentioned in the vacuum's accompanying documentation, the motorised pet cleaning accessory was not included as promised. When I contacted Shark Customer Support, I was informed that it was no longer included with the vacuum but could still be purchased for an additional cost. A hard floor accessory that DOES NOT even attach to the vacuum was given in its place." The company should thus modify their response to reflect the fact that the Deep-Cleaning Motorized Pet Tool is no longer included with the Shark vacuum.

How does this (the az1002) compare to the az1000w model?

The attachments and the locations where they can be purchased make a difference. The 12 in the AZ1000W "Pet Multi-Tool and the Crevice Tool. Answer: Mine looked spotless and was free of any dirt (including the brushes). The bottom of the vacuum did have some cosmetic imperfections and scuffs.

In short, never. simply clean them
