We recently bought a new shark after having several throughout the years. Only the crevice tool, pet multi-tool, and precision duster are included in our model because it is a Pet. Answer: Up until around three years ago, when I added a smaller one for narrower spaces, I used it as my primary or sole vacuum. This Shark had a full functioning life of 8 years when I purchased it in April of 2014. By the way, I didn't mind the dirt cup's capacity. Far superior to those large Hoover bags!

Although it can't stand up by itself, it works really well to remove hair from our lab. Superior than what any of our other sweepers did, in fact. When finished, we hang it up in our closet.
