Answer: 72 lpm is the number for the model 2780 compressor.
The Smittybilt website says that the 2781 has a flow rate of 160 lpm, which is equal to 5.65 cfm.
How much pressure can the compressor take? What does the compressor's max pressure safety valve blow at?
Answer: I have two of these compressors that feed into a 3-gallon tank and are controlled by a 120/90 psi pressure switch. Unfortunately, the pressure relief valves on both compressors pop at between 115 and 120 psi.
I just bought two new 165psi safety valves to replace them.

Answer:
It comes with a bag, a compressor, a coiled air hose, alligator clips for connecting to the battery, and an adapter with a pressure gauge that connects to the hose shown in the picture on Amazon.
Except for the Schrader valve, all of the connections are quick connect.
The Schrader valve stem connection screws on just like the cap.
On the back of the compressor is a switch that turns it on and off.
It doesn't turn off by itself, so if you are filling smaller items, like a bike tyre, you need to be aware that this compressor is powerful and will quickly overfill it.
I got the pressure in my 285-17 tyres from 35 psi to 75 psi in about 5 minutes per tyre.
Between the alligator clip cable and the air hose, this should be able to do all the tyres on a typical civilian vehicle.
It uses some power, so I wouldn't use it if the car wasn't running. That way, I wouldn't go from having a flat tyre to having a dead battery.
Can you get a device that will turn off a compressor on its own?
Answer: We don't sell anything like that to turn off the compressor at a certain PSI.
The PSI fills would have to be controlled by hand.
The automatic feature on our portable air compressors makes it much easier to move from one tyre to another and to check the tyre pressure in the middle of a fill.
Compressors that aren't automatic must be turned off between filling tyres and when checking tyre pressure.
That means you will have to run back and forth to the compressor to turn on and off the unit.
The automatic feature will save you time and effort so that you can quickly get the tyres inflated.
Can you plug the compressor into your truck's 12 volt outlet?
No, it doesn't. It has separate connections for the positive and negative posts on a 12-volt battery.

What makes this unit different from the 400p rvs. I saw an ad for an RV that said you should only buy models that had just been remodelled.
Answer: The RVS unit comes with 60 feet of hose, a 90-degree twist-on chuck that is 40 inches long, and a new grey bag.
I want to use the air hose that I have. It has a 1/4-inch quick-connect coupling that is standard. Will the viair work with it?
Answer: You can use your own 1/4-inch hose with a quick coupler. Just make sure you use an open-ended chuck, since your 400P doesn't have an auto-shutoff feature.
Can I connect a normal air hose to this unit?
Answer: I'm not sure.
It looks like the air hose that comes with it plugs into a connection that is unique to the compressor unit.
