    FAQS :

Can Duraflame logs be burned in this fire pit?

Answer: I see no reason why you couldn't. However, I would watch one of the how-to films as well as the science of air flow. The more wood there is, the more efficient it is. As a result, burning one piece of wood At the same time, it might not be the ideal solution.

What makes this package more expensive than the single stove website? (514.99)

Answer: It was higher because it was going to be included with the stand. BUT IT DID NOT!

Why are these so pricey when a discarded washing machine tub can do the job just as well for hundreds of dollars less?

Answer: Your question appears sarcastic. This is a really well-made and secure fire stand. I suppose I could have gone to a scrap yard and acquired a washing machine tub, but that was not what I was looking for. But go ahead and save hundreds of dollars by burning down your deck.

In southern California, can you leave this outside with the lid on as a table?

Answer: Because we reside in the Northeast, we keep it outside until it snows. It's just the right height for a coffee table. When the fire isn't raging, I suppose you could easily use it as a table with the lid on!

What is the weight of the Yukon Solo stove?

The Yukon fire pit weighs 40 pounds.

How do you get the ash pan clean?

Answer: For the Ranger and Bonfire, we recommend turning it upside down to empty any remaining ashes in your stove (after it has cooled). Our product development team recommended using a shop vacuum to clear the ashes from the Yukon. Because it's a large unit, we don't want you to tip and dump it like the Bonfire and Ranger!

Is it possible to use preoiled fire logs in this solo bonfire?

Hello, I believe you should only use wood. It is intended for wood lengths ranging from 12 to 18 inches. It may become too hot if you use preoiled logs.

    What's the inside scoop?

14.0 inch interior (depth) height x 19.5 inch diameter is the answer.

What kind of wood is suggested?

The best wood is dry hardwood. Wet wood appears to smoke more. It still emits fewer fumes than a standard pit.

Can you detect the scent of wood? I'd like to get a whiff of the wood.

Answer: Depending on how far you are from the fire, you can smell the wood. The smell of wood is detectable three feet from the fire. Wind direction will have an impact on the scent of wood at ten or fifteen feet.

I have a recessed stone fire pit with poor oxygen flow and a lot of smoke. Will the same problem occur if this is placed at the bottom of the pit?

Answer: I, too, have a recessed fire pit and was experiencing smoke problems. This is exactly why I purchased the Solo Stove. With a few inches around the outside of the solitary stove, it fits neatly in the pit. When I use the solitary stove, there is almost no smoke.

How far away can you sit and still be warm? 5 feet, 10 feet, or 20 feet?

Answer: When you have a good base of coals, the sides of the stove heat up and radiate a lot of heat. However, the last time I used it, we were on the Denali Highway, and the temperatures were in the 40s with wind. We were cuddling right next to the stove. 5' range in warmer temperatures. 10, and you'd just be staring at the flames.

Is it possible to use wood pellets?

Answer: No, because it lacks a pellet adaptor.

What is the recommended distance between the stove and the deck furniture?

Answer: The Solo stove produces a lot of heat since the wood burns faster and at a higher temperature than other stoves. Although you can sit close to it to enjoy the warmth, I recommend keeping furniture at least 18–24 inches away from the Solo while it is in use.
