    FAQS :

Is this calculator still in its original packaging and does it come with any software?

Yes, it includes an access code to download Texas Instrument's graphing programme. The calculator does arrive in its original sealed packing, just as if you had bought it from a store. contains a USB upload cord and wall charger as well.

Is there anything that the TI-Nspire CX calculator can't perform that this one can't, or are they both the same but for the cas?

The list of approved calculators is updated on a regular basis. You can check the list of accepted calculators by going to the following. On tests and in class, I use my TI-Nspire. In fact, after viewing mine and another student's, my calculus teacher went and picked one up. https://sat.collegeboard.org/register/calculator-policy

I'm a high school student doing Algebra II this year; is it better to purchase this or simply a TI-84 (silver or silver + c) version?

I would purchase the Nspire CX CAS. All the algebraic procedures required for Algebra II and collegiate algebra will be performed. Additionally, several calculus operations and differential equations will be solved. It requires more practise to master and functions more like a computer than other TI calculators. I've used the Nspire CX CAS and the TI 83, 84, 85, 86, 89 Titanium. I presently use the CX CAS and the 89 Titanium. Although I found the 89 to be simpler to operate, the CX CAS is more robust and adaptable. There are videos, tutorials, and user manuals online. Before making a choice, I would find out which calculators are permitted in your classroom.

Is it as user-friendly as the TI-83/84. How much better is the TI-84 for high school?

The calculator in question is excellent and quite simple to use. A TI-83+, TI-89, and TI Nspire CX CAS are all devices I own. The 89 and CAS are my favourites. The CS and the CAS are the two Nspire models that share a similar appearance. Get the CAS if you can afford the price difference. It can provide a "pretty-print" solution to complicated problems. Although the 89 is slightly more suited to engineering applications, the Nspire is still preferable for students in both scenarios. The other machines I've discussed are vastly superior in every regard to the 84, despite the fact that it can perform quite a bit and be more than enough to get you through high school and college.

    is 3D graphing possible?

    Answer: Yes

What kind of cable or port is used to charge this calculator? Mini B, Micro B, or USB-C?

    Solution: Mini B

Can I use this calculator for the SAT, ACT, and psat exams?

Answer: This page on education.ti.com/en/products/calculators/graphing-calculators/ti-nspire-cx-ii-cx-ii-cas lists the tests that have been authorised. You may find the chart in the "Test Acceptance" section by scrolling down.

On the calculator, there are two non-charging ports—one on top and another large slide-out port on the bottom. What do they serve?

The TI-Nspire CX Navigator System is connected using the one at the top. The technology enables teachers to immediately connect to all of their pupils and carry out real-time assessment, file sharing, concept monitoring, and other tasks. The calculator slides into the TI-NspireTM Docking Station using the "large slide-out" port on the bottom. A class set of up to 10 TI-NspireTM graphing calculators can be docked in the following ways: Maintain fully charged rechargeable batteries, Using the TI-NspireTM Teacher Software, upload documents, assignments, and other materials. Using the TI-NspireTM Teacher Software, update the operating system. One computer can handle the simultaneous operation of up to six docking stations. The graphing calculators TI-NspireTM CX, TI-NspireTM CX CAS, TI-NspireTM with Touchpad, and TI-NspireTM CAS with Touchpad are all supported by the TI-NspireTM Docking Station.
