    FAQS :

Is there any information on "how to treat" this pan to keep food from sticking?

Although stainless steel cookware is not "nonstick," there are a few things you can do to reduce the amount of food that sticks to your pans while cooking. 1. Remove your food from the fridge and let it defrost before cooking. (Food that is served cold tends to stick more than food that is served at room temperature.) 2. Always warm your pan for approximately 2 minutes on low to medium heat before you begin cooking. 3. Heat up the skillet with a little oil or butter. 4. Put your meal in the pan and cook it all the way through on one side before turning it. It will nearly always stick if you attempt to flip it too quickly. 5. Only place your pan on high or medium heat if it's full of cold liquid. The chilly liquid will absorb the heat from the pan, keeping the metal cool. 6. Once you've added your meal to the pan, reduce the heat to medium low or low. Because your pan has an aluminium core that retains heat, if you raise the temperature too high, your food may burn or stick. CLEANING: Soak cookware in hot, soapy water before washing to remove hard-to-clean, stuck-on meals. Hopefully, these pointers will be useful while using stainless steel in the kitchen.

Is this a Brazilian-made pan? I've seen a lot of similar pans produced in China.

The Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad 4 Qt Covered Sauce Pan (Item#80116/024DS) is a Brazilian-made product. We suggest ordering from a Tramontina approved store to guarantee that you get the correct item. Please keep in mind that Tramontina manufactures goods all over the globe (for example, in Brazil, Italy, the United States, and China), and there are other Tri-Ply Clad cookware brands available. This item is manufactured in Brazil. Although Tramontina goods are produced in many countries, they are all of high quality and work admirably, since Tramontina compels all of their manufacturing facilities to adhere to stringent quality and safety rules throughout production.

Is the Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad 5 Qt Dutch Oven really so big?

The Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad 5 Qt Dutch Oven is 12-3/4 x 9-3/4 x 6-1/2 inches in size. Please note that the side handle and lid are included in these dimensions. If you require the measurements of the Dutch Oven pot (without including the lid or side handles), it is 9-3/4" in diameter and stands 4 inches tall.

Is it compatible with induction cooktops?

Stainless steel, cast iron, and enamelled cookware are all typically safe. There are also several clad pans. All of my old aluminium was donated to Goodwill. Keep an eye on the size of the pan's bottom. My LG induction cooktop comes in three sizes, and the one that is too large or too tiny will not turn on the burner. I suppose that's how it should be. However, consult your cooktop's handbook for any information on pan sizes.

Have you considered the Cooks Standard and Tramontina multi-ply sets? If that's the case, why did you go with Cuisinart? I can't make up my mind!

Answer: I examined both. Tramontina was praised by both Consumer Reports and the New York Times. However, Tramontina costs a few hundred dollars more than Cuisinart. The key difference between the two is Tramontina's ability to handle high heat better than Cuisinart, allowing it to sear or brown meat or poultry more uniformly. A Cuisinart pan or pot will be damaged by high heat, voiding the warranty. Despite this, I bought the Cuisinart set and was not disappointed. To be clear, the Cuisinart Mulit-ply sears and browns food. And, to be honest, I'm pleased with the outcomes. If I want a crispier piece of chicken, like my father, I'll use cast iron. But I haven't been able to notice the difference thus far. With one exception, Cuisinart Multi-ply pans are so efficient that they don't need anything more than medium heat. To boil water, Cuisinart recommends using medium high heat, which the company claims will not damage the pot. My Cuisinart pots and pans have a nice appearance and feel to them. The handle does not get hot to the touch and is not inconvenient to use. As I grab the handle, the pot/pan genuinely seems balanced. If you season your pans before using them, cleaning is a pleasure; if you have a tough time, Bar Keeper's Friend for cookware will take care of any trouble places. Cuisinart's Multi-ply 12 piece kit comes highly recommended. My purchase has exceeded my expectations.
