    FAQS :

Is the factory refurbished model included with a new blade/container that resolves the black spec issue?

Answer: I had no idea there was a black spec problem. My container appeared to be original and had water marks on it, indicating that it had been washed. 03-15 is written on the blade. Yes, there were a few (maybe 5) very little spots when I tried it. You must go out of your way to find them. It doesn't bother me in the least. I'm sure we consume more of it from our Teflon pans than from these blenders on a daily basis. I think the recall only applied to containers manufactured prior to August 2013. Specks or no specks, this is the greatest blender I've ever had.

Is the entire 5-year warranty included in the $359 price and supported by Vitamix?

Answer: I purchased my 5300 brand new with a 7-year warranty.

There are several Vitamix models to choose from. I'm curious whether the 5300 is a newer version of the 5200 and what the difference is, as well as what the 7500 is like. Newest?

Answer: The only change, as far as I can tell, is that the 5300 has a new shorter but broader jug. I have the 5300, and the shorter jug makes it easier to mix and fits better on the counter. Is it the 7500? That's something I haven't looked into.

In comparison to a taller container, how effective is this low profile container in crushing ice? looking for snow that looks like

Answer: Excellent! I had never tried crushing ice with it before, so I gave it a shot. In less than 2 seconds, I had snow. Amazing!

Is the vitamix accelerator included with the blender?

Yes, it's as if you bought a brand new machine, complete with all parts. My machine was completely unused, having been opened and showing no signs of usage. It comes in a white package with a tamper instruction manual. The certificate just states that it has been refurbished. Go for it; I've never regretted purchasing a refurbished item.

Is there a difference between this model and the Vitamix 750?

With the exception of the following, the 750 and 7500 are identical: The 750 is available in black, brushed stainless steel, or red, while the 7500 is available in black, white, or red. The 750 costs more than $110 more ($639 vs. $529 for the 7500). The 750 has five pre-programmed settings, whereas the 7500 has a variable speed dial that is entirely customizable (no pre-programmed settings). The 7500 contains the recipe book "Simply Fresh," which is aimed toward healthy living dishes, while the 750 has the recipe book "Create." Because the only difference is the pre-programmed settings, which will cost you $110 more for the 750, we believe the 7500 is a far better deal with a lot better recipe book.

Will all fruit seeds, such as strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, be pulverised by the VitaMix?

Answer: A few seeds may survive the blending process, but the most are crushed. I recently tried strawberries with my 7500 and got a couple of seeds, but not many.

Do you have any difficulties producing a little single smoothie (16 oz) or do you require a larger smoothie batch?

Answer: If you're using the 64 oz container on the 7500 (low-profile), going under 2 cups isn't suggested (16 oz). If we possess the low-profile, I've been hearing a lot of advice to acquire the 32 oz WET container to produce smaller amounts. This is something I'm planning to order this month. Meanwhile, I normally brew a huge quantity of green juice that will last me three days.

Is it possible to use it at 220 volts? Isn't it free volt?

No, this unit only runs on 110V. The engine will be damaged by 220V.
