They direct the line level converters to connect to the rear left and right speakers (located in front of the head unit) and then plug the RCAs into them.

All ATOTO car radios are compatible with factory steering wheel controls in terms of steering wheel control.
However, you may need to purchase a wiring harness or CANBUS data interface to keep your car's stock steering wheel control.
