    FAQS :

Is it possible to use non-Keurig pods in this machine?

Answer: I haven't experienced any issues with non-Keurig pods.

Anyone else's brewer started making obnoxious noises? Do you know how to fix that if that's the case?

Answer: I recently got this coffee maker on January 7, 2020. Yes, when it's brewing, it's quite loud, and it wakes up my spouse. My old machine, a Keurig K250, never made a noise like this, even after 6 years of use. Having saying that, I'm enjoying the machine so far. It was simple to programme and set up. Cuisinart has been contacted, and after multiple suggestions to resolve the issue, they are sending a replacement, which I will return at no cost to me.

Is it compatible with standard round pods?

Yes, it uses regular K-cups that can be purchased everywhere. The reusable plastic coffee holder and mesh wire basket are an added benefit. I prefer freshly ground coffee without the colouring that K-cups contain. So I grind my own coffee, fill the wire mesh basket 3/4 full (a little over 2 tablespoons of ground coffee), and prepare a 10 oz cup. It's fantastic, and using your own ground coffee saves you half the money you'd spend on K-cup pods.

Does Alexa have the ability to turn this on or off? Is it conceivable?

No, the answer is no. The power switch is on the device's side, and there is no way to communicate with it. To activate it, it must be pressed each time it is turned off. Using a smart plug alone will not suffice, as simply providing power to the cord will not turn it on. To turn on, the power switch must be turned on.

    What's the difference between K575 and K-Elite?

Answer: Both of the machines you're referring to are mine. The following are the distinctions: Because the K575 is a "Keurig 2.0" machine, it employs an optical detector to prevent non-licensed k-cups from being used. The reservoir on the K575 is larger. The Keurig carafe, as well as the bigger pods, can be used with the K575 (which sounds like an advantage, but good luck finding those larger k-cup pods anywhere except the web). A colour digital display is included with the K575 model. The K-Elite has a high-altitude brew option, is a considerably simpler equipment, and appears to be rock-solidly constructed. The K-Elite is my favourite of the two machines. It's a tad smaller and quieter than the K575. Internally, it's also simpler without the DRM. It is, in my opinion, the best Keurig machine for home use that has been developed to date. And if you hunt around, you might be able to find this device for as little as $125, which is significantly less than the K575.

Will the k-elite machine accept non-branded (non-Keurig) k-cups and make coffee with them?

Yes, of course! This new Keurig machine isn't a Keurig 2.0. There are no DRM restrictions, so you can use whatever k-cup you choose. This machine is similar to the earlier Breville BKC700XL machine, with the exception that it features a separate button for each cup size and options for "iced coffee," "strong brew," and "high-altitude brew."

Isn't there a touchscreen? Why did you take a step back?

Answer: It isn't actually required. I have a K575, which has a touch screen, and I believe it is much easier to use. There's also no touchscreen to get fingerprints on. One of this machine's selling advantages, I feel, is its simplicity. Is it really necessary to choose a background for your coffee maker's screen as well? On the other hand, whereas the K-Elite includes a digital time display, it can only be read from above if you want to tell the time by looking at your coffee maker, which you can easily accomplish with several of the Keurig 2.0 machines. If that is crucial to you, this machine may not be the best option.
