    I have x2's and am extremely pleased with them. Is x4 a better option?

    My X2s are excellent in sound and, more importantly, fit. Because the X4s do not make a good seal in your ear, they are completely devoid of bass. They sound excellent if you can get them to fit properly (they will loosen if you run in them), but not as good as the X2s.

    Are these compatible with iPhones?

    Yes, it is compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled phone.

    Is there a way to mute your microphone when on a call?

    No, the answer is no.

    I ride a bicycle. Is there any room for ambient noise in these?

    The X4 buds use passive noise cancellation and do not have a feature that allows ambient sounds to pass through. If your earbuds' seal is too tight and you feel like your ears are plugged and you can't hear what's going on around you, try one or more of the following: Use somewhat less pressure than usual when inserting the earphones into your ears while yet ensuring a snug fit. Slowly move the earbuds back and forth. Use earbuds with a smaller ear tip/fin size.

    Is the receiver on the left or right side?

    When worn under the ear, the receiver is within the control on the right side (or left if you wear the buds over ear and switch fit).

    Is it possible to control the volume directly from the bud?

    Yes, altering volume is an option in the app where you may customise what single, double, and lengthy button pushes do. On single pushes, mine are set to play/pause, skip music on double pressing, and alter volume on long presses.     Yes, you certainly can. It's something I do all the time. It's sometimes easier or safer to have just one person in, therefore it's really convenient.
