    FAQS :

To power this Miller, what size generator is required?

According to the Miller 2018 catalogue, if the Miller 211 (dual voltage 120vac/220vac) is plugged into 120 Volts AC, the input current draw is up to 24.3 amps, and if the unit is plugged into 220 Volts AC, the input current draw is up to 16.6 amps. Assuming these current requirements are at maximum welding settings, turning the welder to lower settings will almost certainly reduce the input current requirements. A 7000-watt generator with four 120V 20A three-prong outlets and a twist-lock 120/240V 30A outlet is available on Amazon. If you hook the welder into the generator's 220V socket, this should be enough to power it.

Will this machine be able to handle a 10 pound spool of wire?

Yes, of course. The weights of the spools, which are actually one 8" spool, can vary.

Where did this welder come from?

Answer: All of the components are created in China, with the exception of the case, which is made in the United States.

Is this machine capable of handling 0.35 wire?

Yes, of course! The machine can handle wire gauges of 024, 030, and 035. In addition, iris can handle all three sizes on a single feed roller, depending on how the drive roller is configured. Yes, of course! Miller's Summer Savings Build With Blue Rebate applies to this item. Miller will give you a $100 rebate if you purchase. Only until September 30th, 2018, may you take advantage of this offer.

Where do we get the $300 rebate form? Or are they just going to mail it to us?

Answer: There is a rebate section on Miller's website where you may apply for a rebate.

Is this alternating current and direct current?

    DC is the correct answer.

Can I use a Predator 3500 inverter generator to power this welder?

Answer: Perhaps on 115v settings, but I doubt 230v operation will keep up or provide enough amperage.

Is there a high frequency or pulse setting for tig on this machine?

It simply has lift arc start TIG and no pulse or high frequency. Lift arc start is difficult to master quickly, hence it is not advised for new tig welders.
