    FAQS :

Although Amazon advertises that assembly is now free, it still charges for it. Is it removed at the end of the buying process?

Answer: There is a box to check when ordering the machine to request free assembly. When I checked the box, I discovered that I was entitled to free assembly. You specify the shipping and assembly dates during the ordering process. Everything was completed on time and without expense.

How high of a ceiling is required for a six-foot person?

Answer: The tallest user's height should be increased by 15". You're good to go if you have at least that much ceiling clearance. Because 6 feet equals 72 inches, adding 15 inches increases the required space to at least 87 inches. This is approximately 7.25 feet.

The schwinn trainer app mentioned here and in the user manual is not available in the iOS app store. Has it changed its name? Is it still in use?

Answer: I had the same problem... it was a huge letdown. I don't remember the name of the app, but it was the only one I could find that functioned and showed images/video as though you were riding through a national park... I deleted it because it didn't provide any of the functions I needed. Bluetooth audio has never worked, and so on. This region is my greatest gripe with this machine. They've just failed miserably here. The rest of the machine works well.

Is it possible to believe Sole 2 Labor Warranty? Alternatively, do I need to purchase an extended warranty? If so, please recommend a good one.

Answer: As far as I'm aware, the company is well-known. Our machine has been with us for about two years, and I use it three times a week. I haven't had to use the warranty because we haven't had any problems with it. SquareTrade is a good, honest firm to use if you need an extended warranty. My iPad and other valuables are protected under their policy. There's a 25% off coupon code 02H80008ZNM8N2B5 that might still work. You might want to phone them because their website is a little difficult to navigate to find a specific product. The elliptical, I believe, would fall under "other."

How is the customer service at Sole Fitness? I don't mind paying $1000+ on a machine if it would endure for years. Schwinn machines have received excellent reviews at first, but they tend to break down quickly, and their customer service is reportedly poor.

Answer: I have a year-old Sole E85 treadmill and a 3-month-old Sole E35 elliptical. I put the machines together myself and have yet to deal with their customer support (knock on wood). I studied reviews before purchasing both machines, and while there were some negative reviews of Sole, the bulk of them were great.

Can this machine be used in my carpeted home gym?

Answer: If the carpet sheds fibres, those fibres may collect on the rail track; nevertheless, you should wash the rails clean before using them. With a cloth, it would only take 10 seconds. The fibres, I don't believe, would do anything, although they could produce squeaking if the polyurethane wheels pressed against the fibres and rails. Aside from the fibres, I don't think this would be a problem on a carpet.
