    FAQS :

The P10 is USB 3.1 Gen 1 capable, according to the press release, however it isn't mentioned in the current listing. Is there anyone who can confirm this?

Answer: The USB Forum is really perplexing. Are you all set? Okay: Because the name USB 3.0 means SuperSpeed, it would be too easy to tell which USB is which, thus they don't use it. So it's named 3.0, but it's no more. 3.0 and 3.1 gen 1 are identical, with the same speed and other features (5gbps). Then there's USB 3.1 gen 2 (sometimes known as USB 3.0). It's a genuine improvement over the original's speed, but PSYCH! It's time for another name change! Now there are three versions of 3.1: 3.2 gen 1, 3.2 gen 2, and 3.2 gen 2 by 2! It's infuriating! In any case, this disc is USB 3.0 (or 3.1 gen 1, or 3.2 gen 1, or whatever you choose to call it).

Is the essential USB cable included? There is a lot of marketing blah-blah-blah, but there isn't much relevant information.

Answer: It should come with a 3.0 cable that is 2-3 feet long (B-type to A-type). I've yet to come across an external USB HDD or HDD enclosure that didn't come with a USB cable.

Is it possible to use this hard drive to back up my computer's photographs, movies, excel, and word files?

Answer: I've had this hard disc for four months and it has performed admirably. I'm a dedicated gamer who relies on fast internet connections. While this hard drive was designed for games, it could also be used to store programmes, photos, and documents. In fact, if that's all you plan to do with it, it's overkill, but it will outperform non-gaming portable hard drives.

Is it protected by a password and has hardware encryption?

    No

Will this, however, work on the PS5?

External hard drives will work with the PS5, however you will be able to play PS4 games from them only. All PS5 games must be installed on a hard drive within the console. (This information comes from Mark Cerny's PS5 unveil video on 3/18/2020.) The PS5 has an expansion slot for adding an internal SSD, but Sony has yet to reveal which drives are certified to work with the system.

Is this compatible with the Wii U?

It should work, according to the answer. Both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables are included with the device.

Are we able to get steam, blizzard, origin, and epic games for PC gaming?

Answer: It functions in the same way as any other hard drive on your computer. Yes, both the clients and the games may be downloaded to this drive. It runs ESO flawlessly (it's lightning fast). One thing to note: Windows 10 defaults to putting the drive to sleep after no activity (which is quite standard), but I discovered that I couldn't always wake it up unless I unplugged and rejoined it. So I just deactivated the ability to put the drive to sleep in Windows settings, which entirely resolved the problem. I've had no additional problems with the drive, and it performs admirably.
