    FAQS :

What makes this sprayer different from the Wagner 0518080 control spray max hvlp sprayer?

This one has a little more heft to it. On the 890, the air flow and paint flow controls are located at the handle. The hose on the 890 is 11.5 feet long. The hose on the 518080 is 20 feet long. In 5 minutes or less, the 890 can put down enough paint to spray an 8 ft by 10 ft wall. The average time to paint a similar-sized wall in 518080 is roughly 10 minutes or less.

Is it possible to combine a primer and latex paint without thinning?

Answer: I use Behr's premium one-coat paint and have never had any problems, unless I leave the paint in the container for a few hours and the paint begins to dry within the nozzle. Aside from that, there are no difficulties.

Is it possible to keep water-based urethane in the unit for several coats, or do you have to clean it after each coat while the finish dries (12 hours)?

Answer: My son-in-law is using it to stain his deck with a water-based process. He wraps the rifle in a plastic bag in between layers. So far, it's worked. It could be determined by the product. I'd clean the sprayer in between coats if I were you. Best of luck!

Is it possible to use this method to paint wood furniture? Is it too huge, or is it too small?

Answer: I used the detail finisher to spray all of my kitchen cabinets, and the effect is perfect. I used significantly thinned Sherwin Williams Emerald Trim paint.

Can you attach a longer pickup tube so you can draw paint from a 5 gallon bucket? I can buy/make one.

The Flexio 570 sprayer is not capable of drawing from a larger container. The sprayer's turbine pressurises the container, forcing the coating up the tube and out the front nozzle, causing the sprayer to spray. If you need to pull material from a larger container, the Flexio 970 is a good option. Coatings can be drawn from a one-gallon or five-gallon container.

Is this a cordless device? The lady in the photograph is using the device without plugging it in!! wow!

Answer: The pistol itself does not require a separate cord; you simply need to connect the air hose. As of this writing, the woman in the photo is utilising the rifle with the hose attached. The compressor is housed in the box that contains everything, and it has a power cord that must be plugged in.

Do you think you'll need a compressure for this?

Answer: The Flexio range of HVLP sprayers are self-contained and do not require any additional equipment.

Like a typical sprayer, is there a lot of overspray?

Answer: Compared to classic airless sprayers, HVLP technology produces far less overspray. To match your project's needs, the FLEXiO 5000 comes with two different front ends. With less overspray, the Detail Finish nozzle is ideal for fine finishing applications like trim, cabinets, and furniture. The X-Boost Turbine may spray unthinned materials directly from the can.

Will it be able to spray epoxy paint on a tub?

Answer: Tub epoxy is not the greatest choice. Call 800-328-8251 to speak with our technical support team about your options.
